LEGO Atlantis

Take a dive into the deep!! The New LEGO Atlantis toys are here and making a big splash on the market.

The story behind the LEGO Atlantis is several deep sea salvage crew who were looking for shipwrecks and treasure found a clue to the Lost City of Atlantis. Captain Ace Speedman, the commander of the Neptune Carrier guides his crew to unlock the mysteries behind Atlantis. With the help of Professor Rhodes telling them that they need keys to unlock the portal to Atlantis, Lance Spears and Bobby Buoy set out into the deep trying to find them. What they find is several monsters that are called Guardians of the deep. The first Guardian they run into is a squid, which the LEGO company did an excellent job of making. It has long tentacles and a snapping jaw and not that hard to put together. The Second guardian is the Shark, which tends to look a little robotic but still very good. I still enjoyed putting it together; it’s very large compared to the LEGO Diver. The one thing that stands out of the guardian shark is its tail fin. The final guardian is the Crab; it has six legs and two claws. It’s not that hard to put together, out of all the guardians, I think this one is the simplest and the smallest but still very enjoyable for all ages.

LEGO Atlantis also added a few other creatures of the deep that are fun to put together such as the shadow snapper. I think by far one of the coolest looking of the Atlantis LEGO sets. It has spikes covering the shell of the body and movable claws. It looks like something you could find in the deep waters of the ocean. As for the LEGO Atlantis crew, they have the Neptune carrier and the Typhoon turbo sub that both shoot missiles. I personally enjoy building the Neptune Carrier. It’s big and reminds me of 10000 leagues under the Sea; it even comes with a mini sub and seabed rover. They also have the New Wreck Raider with flick launching harpoons and a mini shark man. I think that this set is awesome for any kids who enjoy LEGOS. I have a blast with my kids putting these together; we are trying to collect all the keys to complete the collection. I can see LEGO adding new Atlantis sets since the movie premiere they had on cartoon network. The movie was very entertaining and the LEGO sets are cool looking. If your interested you should take a look at the New Atlantis sets, they even have the movie trailer!!
